Write 1000 words and add html headings article based on this youtube script welcome welcome Claudia here with for n the podcast I hope you’re having an amazing week so far so today we are talking about If It Fits your Macros or I if ym now if you aren’t aware of what that means it is an acronym so I I FY m stands for If It Fits your Macros and this is a style or a tool of nutrition prescription in a way that it allows you to eat quote unquote what you want but have it still fit within your Macros now for those who don’t know where this may sit it is mostly I want to say mostly in the bodybuilding community and there are lots of other nutrition and coaching services and providers who do utilize this style of nutrition prescription so it is one style it is one train of thought that this is a way that you can help clients to get towards their goals now let’s break into what it actually means so first of all macros that is a shortened term for the word macronutrient or macronutrients and what these are are what our food is made up of so when we eat something let’s say it’s a bit of chicken it is going to contain con different macronutrients in different ratios depending on what the food is and those macronutrients are protein carbohydrates fats and also alcohol will throw that one in there too so there are three predominant but four if we’re counting alcohol macronutrients that our food and beverages can be made up of and the train of thought with this style of nutrition prescription is that you will get a prescription for example a coach may say okay I want you to eat 2,000 calories I want you to hit 140 gram of protein and 200 gram of carbohydrates and 80 gram of fat and that is your nutrition prescription and the idea is that your coach has hopefully worked out these numbers for you in a way that’s going to help you hit your goal so whether your goal might be fat loss or it could be weight gain or muscle gain or it could just be performance with your sport or just everyday eating and feeling good so what that actually entails is that you’ll in English
